Your instructor is Michele Bond

Michele Bond brings an entire lifetime devoted to fitness and wellness (beginning her swimming career before she could walk!) and a healthy dose of humor to her teaching. Michele began performing in synchronized swimming shows at a young age, and then competed for over 10 years both nationally and locally. Her practice of yoga began in her teens.

Michele has many years of training in dance, as well as over a decade in martial arts, where she earned a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and trained in Jujitsu as well as Arnis (Phillipino stick fighting). Michele has training in gymnastics, stunt fighting and swordplay which led to work in action films. She also enjoys running, aerobic kickboxing and strength training.

Teaching is in Michele's genes, as both of her parents were coaches, health and fitness educators and excellent athletes in their own right. Michele's father was a national AAU cross country champion, and was considered the top distance runner in the history of EMU in his time. He became a successful high school and collegiate coach and went on to coach an Olympic gold medalist in the 100 meter dash. Those coaching genes come through as Michele supports you and encourages you to do and be your best.
