Your instructor is Michele Bond

Michele Bond brings an entire lifetime devoted to fitness and wellness, a Michele Bond Smallpassion for Anusara Yoga, and a healthy dose of humor to her teaching. Her practice of yoga began in her teens and continues to unfold under the guidance of her teacher John Friend, the founder of Anusara Yoga. Michele was a competitive athlete for many years, studied dance, and brings the power and focus of over a decade in the martial arts to her yoga practice. She holds a third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Her many and varied athletic pursuits are detailed on the Yoga for Athletes web page. After all the years of rigorous physical training, Michele offers her deepest gratitude to her teacher John for helping her to integrate the internal and the external, and to notice and appreciate the more subtle and profoundly beautiful elements of life, and this amazing, joyful practice.

Michele is the owner of Yoga House, and is the Yoga teacher for brain injured adolescents in the University of Michigan Neurorehabilitation Day Treatment Program. Her work there is the subject of a Master’s Degree thesis by one of the assisting therapists. Michele is a referred practitioner of the U of M’s Family Integrative Medicine Clinic, and of Associates in Physical Medicine at the Reichert Health Center. Her deep interest in Yoga therapeutics has enabled her to assist students in healing on many different levels. Michele was recently interviewed by the Ann Arbor Business Review for her corporate yoga program, and by Crazy Wisdom Journal for her Yoga Happy Hour Restorative class and Yoga for Athletes.
